What a simpler government service actually looks like
Simplicity is not a visual style. It is the removal of steps a person should never have had to take.

NoteDemonstration article. This is not a GovTech Sri Lanka announcement.
When a service is described as simplified, the useful question is which steps disappeared. Fewer visits. Fewer documents to carry. Fewer opportunities to be turned away for something that was never explained.
Three tests we apply
- Does the person have to supply information government already holds?
- Can the service be completed without travelling, if the law allows it?
- Is the outcome explained in language the person actually uses?
